Meet the Director- Scott Englund
Scott and his family have been on a crazy life journey for a few decades. God currently has us living in Quincy California when camp is covered in snow. During camp season, Scott can be found knee deep in fixing waterlines or anything else that needs fixing at camp, enjoying the fine food that our groups often share with the director, or possibly running around on the soccer field with a bunch of crazy kids.
When Scott gets a chance to get away from camp duties, you will most likely find him on a dirtbike ripping through a single track trail in the mountains. Scott is wonderfully supported by his wife Teri who spends as much time as possible at camp. She is a huge help with many of the details of operating the camp.
My Story
I have been married since 1994 to an amazing adventure buddy and love of my life.
I grew up in Northern California before going off to college in San Diego and then to Idaho. God has Teri and I on a crazy journey. Married in 94, our lives have include being a father to a couple of amazing daughters, career in the financial world, missionary resturant owners in Cusco Peru, dirtbike tour company in South America, documentary film maker, and a host of other things. We have since moved back to California and jumped back into life on US soil after being in Peru for 10 years.
We live in an amazing small mountain town where we begin many adventures just outside our doors. We love the outdoors that God has blessed us with. Dirtbikes, fishing, hunting, hiking, exploring, and anything else we can do in the woods is our thing.
We are part of a local church and enjoy the life God has given to us in Quincy California.
As the camp director, my summers are full of life. Preparing Pilot Lake Camp for ministry is a blessing. I am excited to connect with the spectrum of folks from so many different churches and groups and cultures. The best part of being the camp director is the people I am blessed to be around.
